We were recently given an adult-sized changing mat from Care Designs, which is just what we needed.
For some time now (well, since forever), we’ve been using a baby changing mat to change Brody’s nappies – and a picnic blanket (don’t worry, we don’t use it for anything else!) when we’ve needed to change him in the car boot (to avoid public toilet floors – the joy of living in a world with a lack of Changing Places toilets).
The changing mat is perfect for us for the following reasons:
- It folds up and can fit in Brody’s bag, so we can take it out and about (goodbye picnic blanket!). It can also be easily put away at home and not left on display like the baby changing mat we’ve had wedged behind a door (forever).
- It’s soft to touch and my boy deserves to be as comfortable as possible.
- It’s waterproof.
- It’s machine washable (beneficial for obvious reasons!).
I think we will have this for a long time and it is going to come in really handy!
